DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:                    

                       This project constitutes of three bridges, one main bridge intersection between E12 with two main bridges west baniyas road.

                       The construction of interchange to link East and West Baniyas by construction of three bridges; Main Bridge, NE Bridge and SW Bridge.

                        In addition, one utility bridge in SW side as well as two pedestrian ramp one in each side.

STRUCTURE TYPE

a) Main Bridge

-The substructure consists of cast-n-place reinforced concrete middle wall (pier), abutment wall, wing wall and MSE walls. 

-The foundation shall be supported on cast in place bored concrete piles/pile cap.

-The superstructure consists of reinforced concrete voided slab. That is monolithic with the abutment walls.


b) NE Bridge & SW Bridge

- The substructure consists of cast-in-place reinforced concrete abutment wall, wing wall and MSE wall.

- The foundation shall be supported on cast in place bored concrete piles / pile cap.

- The superstructure consists of reinforced concrete voided slab. That is monolithic with the abutment walls.

(c) Utility Protection Structure

- The superstructure consists of RCC solid slab which is monolithic with the side walls.

- The substructure consists of cast-in-situ RCC side walls and the foundation provided is cast in place bored concrete piles of diameter 1000mm.

(d) Pedestrian Ramp

- The superstructure consists of cast-in-situ RCC columns, tie beams and footings with precast deck panels.

- The substructure consists of cast in place bored concrete piles of diameter 1000mm.
